Moving house is always a big day, but this recent 2-van house move between Pocklington and Beverley in the last week of June 2026 certainly kept us on our toes! With temperatures soaring to around 30°C, it felt more like the south of Spain than East Yorkshire. Thankfully, our team came prepared with plenty of water, regular breaks and, most importantly, a well-thought-out plan.

Every successful move starts long before the first box is loaded. Careful planning and preparation made all the difference on this job. We considered local traffic restrictions, the busiest routes through both towns and the best times to travel, helping everything run as smoothly as possible despite the summer traffic.

The homeowners had a number of valuable and treasured possessions that needed extra attention. From carefully wrapping delicate ornaments and family heirlooms to protecting larger furniture with specialist covers and blankets, every item was packed as if it were our own. It’s these little details that help ensure everything arrives safely at its new home.

 

 

 

Leading the move was Nick, drawing on his 36 years of removals experience. His calm approach, attention to detail and ability to think ahead meant the whole team worked like clockwork. Whether it was deciding the best loading order, coordinating both vans or finding solutions to unexpected challenges, Nick’s experience shone through from start to finish.

As always, our team went above and beyond. There was plenty of teamwork, plenty of smiles and even the odd joke to keep spirits high in the heat. Despite the blazing sunshine, everything was delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule, with the customers settled into their new Beverley home before the day was done.
