Three-storey moves require plenty of planning. With belongings spread across multiple floors, our team had to carefully move furniture, boxes and household items down several flights of stairs while taking care to protect both the property and the customer’s belongings.

Larger and heavier items can be particularly challenging in a tall property, with narrow staircases, tight corners and limited access all needing to be considered.

Storage before the new home

In this case, the move wasn’t a straightforward house-to-house move.

The customer’s belongings were first moved into storage, giving them the flexibility they needed before moving into their new property.

When the new home was ready, A&M Removals returned to transport everything from storage to the customer’s new home in Bishopthorpe.

Just a few miles south of York, Bishopthorpe is a popular village close to the River Ouse, with a village centre, historic buildings and plenty of green space. The village is also home to Bishopthorpe Palace and retains much of its distinct village character despite being so close to York.
